The Camry is a midsize, four-door sedan and has all of the positive qualities a Toyota is known for. It has four trims with plenty to offer - here’s a look at each.

It includes, air conditioning, cruise control, and full power accessories. For some tunes, the base comes with a six-speaker sound system with CD player and auxiliary audio jack.

LE: The LE takes a mini step up in the Camry line. It includes all of the equipment found on the base trim, but adds two extras: keyless entry and an eight-way power driver seat.

SE: The SE trim adds a bit of sports appeal with sport-tuned suspension and 17-inch wheels. It also gains special interior and exterior styling.

XLE: For the top trim, grab the XLE. It has the softer suspension of the LE, 16-inch wheels, and a 440-watt JBL sound system with in-dash CD player. The XLE includes many other upscale features, too, like dual-zone climate control system with high-tech air filter, reclining rear seats, and sunroof. Those models that house a V6 engine also have upgraded seating with leather upholstery.

The XLE may also include some optional perks, such as: navigation system, heated front seats, and keyless start.

A Peek Inside: Inside the Camry, you’ll find a functional design with large, easy-to-use controls, and comfortable, wide seats made with durable fabric that’s easy to clean. The XLE trim comes with reclining rear seats for added comfort and luxury appeal and audio and climate controls are attractive with an ice-blue backlighting. Truck capacity measures a usable 15-cubic-feet on the base and LE trims, and 14.5-cubic-feet on the SE and XLE.

Safety: Toyotas, including the Camry, are known for high safety scores. The ’08 Camry received a perfect five stars in frontal and side-impact tests performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It was also given the top score of ‘Good’ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in frontal-offset and side-impact tests.

Toyotas aren’t only known for their high safety scores, but also their quality safety equipment. Standard on all Camry’s are front seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, driver knee airbag, antilock brakes, and brake assist.

If you’re planning a road trip, the best way to make sure your time is enjoyable is to make sure you don’t take any car troubles along for the ride. Before hitting the highway to la-la land, it’s important to make sure your car is in optimal condition. Here are some tips to prep your car for vacation.

Fluids: There are many fluids inside your vehicle that are vital to its health and well-being. Before going on your much-awaited vacation, be sure to check all of your car’s fluid levels. These include: engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power-steering fluid, and windshield-washer fluid.

Battery: Have you ever stepped into your car, turned the key, and à nothing? A dead car battery is never fun! Especially in scorching, summer weather! Battery problems constitute a large number of roadside problems. One way to check your battery is to make sure the battery’s cables are securely attached to the battery terminals. If you notice any corrosion on the battery cables or terminals (starting with negative first), remove the cables from the battery and thoroughly clean all parts. Cleaning can be done with a toothbrush dipped into a solution of baking soda and water. After cleaning, reattach all cables and ensure they are tight and secure.

Brakes: While your road trip is all about the go-go-go (how else will you ever get to your destination?), your vehicle also needs to be able to slow down, as well as stop. Before leaving town, be aware of any grinding noises or unusual vibrations in the brake pedal or steering wheel when you apply the brakes. This could mean brake trouble. Be sure to see a professional for a true brake inspection.

Belts and Hoses: When a car runs, it gets hot - quick! Even more so in sweaty summer temperatures. These high-temperatures are hard on equipment under a car’s hood, like rubber belts and hoses. In order to check your car’s hoses, make sure your car’s engine is cool - then pinch them. Hoses should feel the same along their length, with no signs of soft spots or ballooned-out areas. To check for leaks, squeeze the hoses to make sure there are no cracks present. Belts may be a bit trickier to check. You can inspect them visually for any potential cracking, but in order to really ensure your belts are in good condition, see a professional.

Toyota Highlander

The collection of family haulers available is, well, huge. Which can leave consumers scratching their heads when it comes to deciding which one to buy. Make your choice easy and grab the 2015 Toyota Highlander. This family-friendly crossover SUV provides excellent space, seats up to eight, has good fuel economy, and includes all of the newest technology.

Whether you need a seven-passenger or eight-passenger SUV, the Highlander can be equipped with both. If you want max-passenger seating, you can find it on the Highlander’s LE, LE Plus, and XLE trims. This seating configuration equips the Highlander with a second-row three-person bench seat. If you only want seven-passenger seating, it includes two second-row captain’s chairs and can be found on the Limited and Limited Platinum trims; it is also optional on the XLE.

Now that you know about the Highlander’s seating configuration, let’s check out what you’ll find in each trim.

LE: The LE is the lowest trim level of the Highlander and is equipped with much more than any base-level trim typically offers. Basics include, automatic headlights, cruise control, fabric seating, and manual adjustable front seats. The LE picks it up a notch with nice tech perks, like Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, 6.1-inch central touchscreen, and six-speaker audio system with voice control, CD player, auxiliary audio jack, and iPod/USB interface.

LE Plus: The LE Plus adds onto the base LE trim with several upgrades, like foglights, flip-up rear hatch window, and height-adjustable power liftgate. Upholstery is upgraded with synthetic leather accents, the steering wheel is leather, and the driver seat gains eight-way power adjustability and lumbar support. It also includes satellite and HD radio.

XLE: For a more high-tech experience, opt for the XLE that’s equipped with an upgraded driver information display and Toyota’s Driver Easy Speak voice amplification system, which makes communication with rear passengers easier. It also has Toyota’s Entune App Suite that comes with an eight-inch central touchscreen, navigation system, and smartphone app integration.

Limited: Close to the top of the trim line is the Limited that adds even more to the Highlander with upscale features, like LED running lights and ambient interior lighting, driver memory functions, heated and ventilated front seats, and 12-speaker JBL audio system. It also has extra safety gear, including rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring system, and rear cross-traffic alerts.

Limited Platinum: Go big with the Limited Platinum trim. It comes with all features and equipment found on lower trims, plus tacks on even more with its own add-ons. These extras include, panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, and second-row seats.

Interior Space: As already discussed, the 2015 Highlander has excellent passenger seating. But, it also has great interior space, measuring 83.7-cubic feet. While the third-row may be a bit on the cramped side when it comes to fitting adults comfortably, kids will fit easily.
