Want top fuel economy in a car? You can’t beat the 2015 Toyota Prius. The Prius was the pioneer of hybrids and continues to be the most popular pick years later. While the Prius indeed provides superior fuel economy, that’s not all you’ll get when you opt for this hybrid. Here’s a look inside.
When you step inside the 2015 Prius, you’ll get straight-forward easy-to-use controls and a smartly-designed touchscreen with high-tech features. The backseat offers enough space for passengers and if you get the hatchback body style, you’ll get excellent cargo storage. Prius Two: For the base model, the Prius Two is more than just basic simplicity. It’s equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, and cruise control. Mirrors are powered and heated, ignition and entry are keyless, and climate control is automatic. Electronics are also good with an advanced trip computer, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and 6.1-inch touchscreen display. The sound system has six speakers, which is generally unheard of in a base-level car, and includes a CD player, auxiliary audio jack, and iPod/USB audio interface.
Prius Three: The Prius Three trim enhances upon the Two with many add-ons. It gains an upgraded keyless entry system, navigation system, voice controls, and satellite and HD radio. Also included is Toyota’s Entune system with real-time traffic and app connectivity via smartphone.
Persona Series: The Prius Persona Series is equipped with all contents found on the Prius Three, plus includes many other items of its own. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and fashions additional chrome trim and leatherette upholstery. It also has side mirrors with integrated turn signals and foot-wheel illumination.
Prius Four: 1, 2, 3, 4, the Prius Four adds even more, from automatic headlights to heated front seats, and an eight-speaker JBL sound system to auto-dimming rearview mirror. Comfort is better on the Four, as well, due to increased power adjustability for the driver seat.
Prius Five: On top of all equipment from lower trims, the Prius Five comes with some special contents. It adds LED headlights, foglights, and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Toyota also came up with some great optional add-ons for the 2015 Prius Hatchback that ups this hybrids game. Here’s a peek.
Solar Roof package: Available for the Prius Three, this package comes with a solar-powered ventilation system that keeps the car at a cooler temperature while parked. This convenient system helps limit the amount of air conditioning use, thus saving on fuel.
The Prius Four is also eligible for the Solar Roof package, plus several other individual options. Choose from Toyota’s safety connect emergency system and an upgraded navigation system that boasts seven-inch high-definition display and split-screen capability.
Advanced Technology package: To get this package, you must have the Prius Five trim. With this bundle, you’ll get safety features, like adaptive cruise control and pre-collision alert and lane-departure warning systems. It also equips the Prius with a navigation display of higher quality.
