Want top fuel economy in a car? You can’t beat the 2015 Toyota Prius. The Prius was the pioneer of hybrids and continues to be the most popular pick years later. While the Prius indeed provides superior fuel economy, that’s not all you’ll get when you opt for this hybrid. Here’s a look inside.

When you step inside the 2015 Prius, you’ll get straight-forward easy-to-use controls and a smartly-designed touchscreen with high-tech features. The backseat offers enough space for passengers and if you get the hatchback body style, you’ll get excellent cargo storage. Each trim of the Prius is full of good equipment and gear worth your attention. Continue reading to learn about each.

Prius Two: For the base model, the Prius Two is more than just basic simplicity. It’s equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, and cruise control. Mirrors are powered and heated, ignition and entry are keyless, and climate control is automatic. Electronics are also good with an advanced trip computer, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and 6.1-inch touchscreen display. The sound system has six speakers, which is generally unheard of in a base-level car, and includes a CD player, auxiliary audio jack, and iPod/USB audio interface.

Prius Three: The Prius Three trim enhances upon the Two with many add-ons. It gains an upgraded keyless entry system, navigation system, voice controls, and satellite and HD radio. Also included is Toyota’s Entune system with real-time traffic and app connectivity via smartphone.

Persona Series: The Prius Persona Series is equipped with all contents found on the Prius Three, plus includes many other items of its own. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and fashions additional chrome trim and leatherette upholstery. It also has side mirrors with integrated turn signals and foot-wheel illumination.

Prius Four: 1, 2, 3, 4, the Prius Four adds even more, from automatic headlights to heated front seats, and an eight-speaker JBL sound system to auto-dimming rearview mirror. Comfort is better on the Four, as well, due to increased power adjustability for the driver seat.

Prius Five: On top of all equipment from lower trims, the Prius Five comes with some special contents. It adds LED headlights, foglights, and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Toyota also came up with some great optional add-ons for the 2015 Prius Hatchback that ups this hybrids game. Here’s a peek.

Solar Roof package: Available for the Prius Three, this package comes with a solar-powered ventilation system that keeps the car at a cooler temperature while parked. This convenient system helps limit the amount of air conditioning use, thus saving on fuel.

The Prius Four is also eligible for the Solar Roof package, plus several other individual options. Choose from Toyota’s safety connect emergency system and an upgraded navigation system that boasts seven-inch high-definition display and split-screen capability.

Advanced Technology package: To get this package, you must have the Prius Five trim. With this bundle, you’ll get safety features, like adaptive cruise control and pre-collision alert and lane-departure warning systems. It also equips the Prius with a navigation display of higher quality.

Toyota Corolla

The Corolla has always been fairly simple. But 2015 spiced things up a bit. Now, the Corolla is drawing attention due to its sportier styling and loads of high-tech features. Just like previous Corollas, the 2015 edition provides great space and impressive fuel economy. Here’s a peek inside.

When you step into the 2015 Corolla, you’ll find a stylish dash, sporty steering wheel, and easy-to-use controls and interfaces. All models come with a 6.1-inch touchscreen interface that provides large, virtual buttons, simple and clear graphics, plus a quick response to inputs. Seats provide adequate comfort with more legroom than previous models, as well as most small sedans. Headroom is also excellent.

L: The base L trim comes standard with 15-inch steel wheels, LED low-beam headlights and running lights, and powered accessories. Steering wheel is tilt-and-telescoping, rear seats are 60/40-split-folding, and the driver seat is height adjustable. Also included is Bluetooth connectivity and a four-speaker sound system with CD player, USB/iPod interface, and auxiliary audio jack.

LE: Stepping up to the Corolla’s LE trim means several upgrades. Wheels increase to 16 inches, mirrors are heated, entry is keyless, and climate control is automatic. A rearview camera is also standard on this trim. The LE’s interior gains metallic cabin accents, and the sound system gets six speakers (instead of four), as well as a six-inch touchscreen display.

LE Plus: The LE Plus adds a few more tidbits to the Corolla, from foglights to piano-black accents and 16-inch alloy wheels. If equipped with the optional Driver Convenience package, the Corolla will come with a sunroof, keyless entry and ignition, roof-mounted antennae, and satellite and HD radio. It will also tack on a navigation system and Toyota’s Entune mobile-app integration system.

LE Premium: For a combo of standard and optional equipment from the LE Plus, along with some extras, pick the LE Premium. Some of these extras, include: power driver seat, heated front seats, and premium vinyl upholstery.

LE Eco, Plus, and Premium: The Corolla’s LE Eco trims house all of the features found on the standard LE trims, plus adds a few sporty items. With these models, the Corolla gains: efficiency-maximizing engine and transmission tuning, wheels with low-rolling resistance tires, and enhanced aerodynamics.

S: For the full-on sport-themed model, grab the Corolla S trim. It has foglights, rear spoiler, sport front seats, unique wheels covers, and chrome grille frame and exhaust tip. It also boasts a sport driving mode, sport instrumentation, and trip computer.

S Plus and Premium: The S Plus and Premium both offer even more to the S trim with content, such as: rear disc brakes, firmer suspension, and premium vinyl upholstery.

Once a Camry lover, always a Camry lover. The saying is true for many Toyota fans - and with good reason. Camry’s are comfortable, spacious, full of high-tech features, and are backed by Toyota’s reliable name. But is the 2015 Toyota Camry impressing devout fans of the car? The answer? Absolutely!

The 2015 Camry gained loads of newness this year, with a complete redesign that includes: enhanced exterior styling, improved handling, and revised interior that boasts better materials and more equipment. It comes in four must-see, must-have trim levels - check ‘em out!

LE: The Camry’s LE trim is full of above-average basel-level equipment and features. It has automatic headlights, heated mirrors, keyless entry, and cruise control. Upholstery is cloth, wheels are 16-inch steel, and it includes a rearview camera for added safety. Technology is nice with 6.1-inch touchscreen electronics interface, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, plus six-speaker sound system with CD player, auxiliary audio jack, and USB/iPod interface.

SE: Stepping up to the Camry SE, you’ll get equipment and features of the LE, plus more sporty appeal. It gains 17-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, sport fabric, and simulated leather upholstery. The SE further separates itself from the Camry gang with unique exterior styling, interior trim elements, and upgraded gauges.

XSE: The XSE builds on the SE trim, enhancing it with more features. Wheels are 18-inch alloy, front seats are heated and have more prominent styling, and upholstery is leather/simulated suede. It also gains LED running lights and satellite and HD radio.

XLE: The XLE stands at the top of the Camry line and provides a good combo of XSE equipment and LE suspension tuning. One worthwhile option the XLE is eligible for is the Safety Connect emergency telematics system, which equips it with: automatic collision notification, emergency assist button, and stolen-vehicle locator.

The XSE and XLE trims are both eligible for many optional add-ons, like automatic high-beam headlight control and 10-speaker JBL sound system. There are also many optional safety features up for grabs for these two models, as well. Some include: blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert system, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

Safety: The Camry is a reliable car, but it is also a safe car with good standard safety equipment and high crash-test scores. Standard across the board is antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front and rear side airbags, front and side curtain airbags, and front-knee airbags. Plus, all Camry’s also feature a rearview 2015 camera for extra safety while backing up.

The Camry scored high in crash tests by the government and IIHS. In government crash tests, it received five-out-of-five stars in overall crash protection, four stars in frontal-impact protection, and five stars in side-impact protection. The IIHS gave the Camry the best score possible in moderate-overlap and small-overlap frontal-offset impact tests. It also awarded the Camry the top score in side-impact, roof-strength, and whiplash-protection tests.

Toyota Tacoma

One thing about trucks is that they are always needed - new or used - to haul, to tow, and so on. For a highly capable used truck, opt for Toyota’s Tacoma.

The Tacoma is a midsize truck that provides powerful, fuel-efficient engines, impressive build quality, and a wide variety of body styles and trims. This truck can be found in regular cab, access cab, and double cab in either five-, six- or eight-foot bed lengths. Here’s a closer look at what each trim of the Tacoma offers.

PreRunner: The Tacoma’s PreRunner comes standard with rear-wheel drive and provides rugged, off-road capabilities for the true adventurist.

Like extra packages and add-ons? One worth mentioning is the optional TRD Off-Road package. Tacoma’s equipped with this package will have 16-inch alloy wheels, fender flares, heavy-duty suspension, locking rear differential, and hill-start assist and hill-descent control. There are also skid plates and sport seats, which boosts interior appeal.

Wondering what what kind of power can be found with the Tacoma? Under the hood of this midsize pickup, you’ll find one of two engines: the 2.7 or 4.0. The 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine will be paired to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. It produces 159 horsepower and 180-pound-feet of torque. The more powerful 4.0-liter V6 will be paired to either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. This combo makes 236 horsepower and 266-pound-feet of torque.

Toyota RAV4

If you’re in the market for a used SUV that provides strong power, great fuel economy, excellent cargo space, plus lots of high-tech features, opt for the used RAV4.

The RAV4 offers a clean, practical interior design with large, simple controls. Space is roomy for both front and rear passengers with cargo space measuring an impressive 73-cubic feet. RAV’s that come with standard seating can fit five passengers, while those that come with the optional third row can seat seven. While inside quality is nice, drive quality is just as good. The RAV4 provides a smooth ride, precise electric-assist steering, and an enjoyable driving experience.

Recent years has brought some nice touches to the RAV4 with features like Toyota’s Entune suite of internet-streaming technologies. But it offers loads more! Here’s a look at what you’ll get in each of the RAV4’s fully-loaded trims.

Base: The RAV4’s base trim provides all of the necessary basics, from air conditioning to cruise control, and tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel to full power accessories. It also comes with Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and a six-speaker sound system with CD player, auxiliary audio jack, and iPod/USB interface.

There are many options that were available to the RAV4 in 2012, which you may find on the base trim. One package is the Upgrade Value package that includes extras, like roof rack, rear privacy glass, sunroof, cargo cover, and upgraded upholstery.

Sport: The RAV4’s sport trim provides just that - sports appeal. While it builds upon the base level, it also adds 18-inch wheels, foglamps, rear privacy glass, upgraded upholstery, and sport-tuned suspension. Models of the sport with a V6 engine will also be equipped with automatic headlights.

If the Sport trim comes with the optional Appearance package, it will have even more sports equipment and features. These models come with run-flat tires, unique tailgate design, heated mirrors, and faux-chrome interior trim.

Limited: The Limited trim stands at the top of the line and adds many upscale niceties to the RAV4. This trim gains automatic headlights, heated mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Also included is a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cargo cover, roof rack, and hard-shell spare-tire cover.

The RAV4 got the option of some nice packages in 2012. If equipped with these packages, the RAV will be filled with many extra goodies. Depending on the trim, some of these items include: leather upholstery, navigation system, heated front seats, sunroof, and Toyota’s Entune system.
