Toyota Corolla

In the market for a sedan that offers it all - and bit more? Toyota has you covered. The 2015 Toyota Corolla marks the most unique one to date with its stylish dashboard and newly attained sports appeal that many are finding quite alluring. But there is much more to the Corolla, such as its many key features, like user-friendly technology, excellent space - especially legroom - and top marks in safety.

If you’re in the market for a five-passenger compact sedan, the 2015 Corolla stands as a nice choice with a healthy list of trim levels to choose from. While the base-level L trim is fairly simple, it offers everything one could need in a car. Standard features include: 15-inch steel wheels, LED headlights and running lights, powered accessories, and 60/40-split-folding rear seat. Toyota ensures comfort on all trims, including the base L that has a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and height-adjustable driver seat. Electronics in the L are solid with Bluetooth phone connectivity and four-speaker sound system with CD player, USB/iPod interface, and auxiliary audio jack.

The step up from the base L to the LE is quite significant with a generous dose of upscale features and electronics. It gains heated mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, keyless entry, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Wheels bump to 16-inch steel. Electronics include a rearview camera, six-speaker sound system with six-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth audio connectivity, phonebook downloading capabilities, and voice controls.

The LE Plus exchanges steel wheels for alloy and adds foglights and smooth, piano-black interior accents. But what sets this trim apart from others is its eligibility for a Driver Convenience package. Tacking on this package equips the Corolla with many perks, like keyless entry and ignition, sunroof, satellite and HD radio, navigation system, and Toyota’s Entune App suite mobile-app integration.

If you like the LE, but are looking for something a bit more fuel efficient, the LE Eco is your best best with its efficiency-maximizing and transmission tuning, low-rolling-resistance tires, rear spoiler, and enhanced aerodynamics.

For a sporty vibe, the S trim features everything from unique wheel covers and chrome grille frame to exhaust tip, sport front seats and rear spoiler. It also includes a Sport driving mode and instrumentation, plus trip computer for easy adventure.

The 2015 Corolla is not only equipped with great safety equipment, like stability and traction control, antilock disc brakes, and full airbags from front to rear, but it also proves itself with top safety scores. When put to even the toughest of government crash tests, the Corolla earned the best scores possible for protection in overall, as well as front and side impacts. It also scored the highest marks in roof-strength and whiplash-protection testing by the IIHS.

Toyota Sienna

When in need of a family hauler, consumers can either opt for an SUV or minivan. There are perks to each, but if you are seeking a true eight-passenger vehicle that offers a comfortable, high-quality interior, attractive exterior styling, and top safety in equipment and scores, there is only one choice: the 2015 Toyota Sienna.

The 2015 Sienna comes in five main trim levels, each containing a full list of equipment and features that make it an enjoyable ride for drivers, as well as passengers. From the base L to the top XLE, the Sienna offers a wide range of features from automatic headlights, cruise control and rearview camera on the L to power-sliding side doors and heated mirrors on the LE. The sport-themed SE is equipped with more aggressive styling, sport-tuned suspension and lower-body skirting, while the XLE and XLE Premium include four-way power front passenger seats and extendable footrests for second-row captain’s chairs. The top Limited trim houses everything mentioned, plus much more, including LED running lights, auto-dimming and power-folding outside mirrors, front and rear sunroofs, and heated steering wheel.

Where safety’s concerned, the 2015 Sienna is equipped with top safety gear and scores. Standard on all models of the Sienna are antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and rearview camera. Also included are full-length side curtain airbags, driver-side knee airbag, front passenger seat cushion airbag, and active front head restraints. For those who want extra safety features, the Sienna offers several. Depending on the trim level, the Sienna can house blind-spot and rear cross-traffic monitoring systems and front and rear parking sensors. The top Limited trim can also be had with a forward-collision warning system.

For consumers that need reliable transportation to tote both passengers and cargo, it’s important to stay on top of regular maintenance services. One service that is a must in order to ensure your Sienna stays in good running condition is oil changes. Oil changes play a vital role in your vehicle’s engine. Engine oil provides three key functions. First, it helps keep engine components working together smoothly. Second, oil helps draw heat away from the combustion chamber so the engine does not overheat. Lastly, oil aids in preventing carbon and varnishes from accumulating inside the engine. There are many problems that can arise if a car’s oil is not changed. One problem is a buildup of sludge and carbon deposits inside the engine. If this happens, it could mean an expensive engine cleaning or replacement of worn-out piston rings. Another problem is that pistons can eventual seize or camshafts can be damaged - both being repairs that cost mega amounts in order to repair.

It is recommended to change your car’s oil every 3,000 miles or three months, but the best bet is to trust your odometer. Driving has a much stronger impact on a car’s engine oil than one that just sits there. There are also several factors that influence how often oil should be changed, such as where and how you drive. Extreme heat, towing, and dusty/sandy areas all negatively impact engine oil, so more frequent oil changes could be in order.

Toyota RAV4

With its debut almost ten years ago, the RAV4 has remained a favorite for shoppers of all ages and tastes. RAV4’s, like the 2015, offer practicality with compact crossover sizing, a sensible appetite for fuel, and excellent versatility. But, there’s even more to this much-loved ride - here’s a closer look.

The 2015 RAV4 is available in three main trim levels - LE, XLE and Limited - and the equipment and feature list provides a nice combination of practicality and sensibility. The entry-level LE rides on 17-inch wheels and includes automatic headlights, power-folding mirrors, keyless entry, rear privacy glass and full power accessories. Comfort is good with cruise control and tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. Electronics include Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, six-speaker sound system with 6.1-inch touchscreen, CD player, auxiliary audio jack and iPod/USB audio interface. Also standard is a rearview camera for increased safety.

For those that stand somewhere in the middle when it comes to choosing a trim level, the XLE has some nice features. It comes with foglights, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals and dual-zone automatic climate control. It also boasts some sports appeal with roof rails, sunroof, sportier front seats and cargo cover. Technology on the XLE gets an upgrade with satellite and HD radio and traffic and weather. Plus, it comes with the option of a navigation system and Toyota’s user-friendly Entune smartphone app integration.

The Limited stands at the top of the RAV4 lineup and gains even more bonuses. Wheels are larger at 18 inches, entry and ignition are keyless, the rearview mirror is auto-dimming, and the steering wheel and shifter are leather-wrapped. Driver comfort is increased with eight-way power adjustability, memory settings, and heating capabilities.

Toyota equipped the 2015 RAV4 with solid standard safety gear to ensure safety on the road. Every 2015 RAV4 houses antilock disc brakes, rearview camera, stability and traction control, whiplash-reducing front head restraints, and full airbags from front to side to rear. Also standard is a driver knee airbag, which has proven very helpful in frontal crashes. When opting for the Limited’s optional Technology package, the RAV4 is equipped with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts and lane-departure warnings.

Space is one key element we can’t overlook when discussing the RAV4. While labeled ôcompact, its measurements prove mighty due to Toyota’s strategic design. The cargo bay measures a nice 38.4 cubic feet and opens up to a 73.3 cubic feet when the second row is stored. Passenger space is also good, even for those of tall height, and the large amount of recline adjustment also helps increase space.

Toyota Avalon

The Toyota Avalon has been a solid choice for sedan shoppers for some time, and with newly added features to the 2015 edition, the Avalon makes an even smarter choice. As a full-size sedan, the newest Avalon combines style, comfort, and high-quality performance. Highlights for the 2015 lineup include an XLE Touring Sport model, paddle shifters on all models, and standard blind-spot monitoring on all Touring models. Toyota’s Entune information system gets an upgrade, as well, with the addition of swipe capability, a customizable home screen, voice-recognition training, and cache radio that can rewind up to 20 minutes.

Inside the Avalon, you’ll find plenty of space, especially in the backseat, and storage space that is generous with lots of cubbies and a large center console. Toyota added a nice touch to the front section of the center console by equipping it with cell phone, auxiliary and USB connections. This area also acts as a wireless charging system via Toyota’s Qi system. Trunk space is perfect for cargo, measuring 16 cubic feet; loading items is also made easy due to its wide opening and low lift-over height.

The 2015 Avalon comes with five trim levels to choose from - here’s a closer look.

The entry-level XLE rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and includes automatic headlights, keyless entry and ignition, heated mirrors, dual-zone automatic control, full power accessories, and cruise control. Comfort is great with tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, eight-way power driver seat, four-way power front passenger seat, and luxurious leather upholstery. The XLE comes with plenty of electronics, like rear view safety camera, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, 6.1-inch central touchscreen display, and eight-speaker audio system with CD player, satellite and HD radio, auxiliary audio jack, and USB/iPod interface.

Stepping up to the XLE Premium means some upgrades, like a power sunroof and auto-dimming rearview mirror. Keyless entry and ignition also include additional functionality for rear doors and trunk.

The XLE Touring gets a boost in safety features with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Technology gets a boost, too, with Toyota’s Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite that includes a nine-speaker audio system, seven-inch touchscreen display, navigation system, and smartphone app integration.

The top Limited trim features all of the XLE Touring’s equipment, plus adds upscale perks of its own. It gains xenon headlights, auto-dimming side mirrors, automatic wipers, and tri-zone automatic climate control. Front seats are ventilated, the driver seat has ten-way power adjustability, and rear seats are heated. It also has an 11-speaker JBL Premium sound system.
