Toyota Tundra

Whether you’re a contractor who needs a large truck bed or you’re someone who just needs a stand up truck for daily demands, the 2015 Toyota Tundra is a smart choice for a full-size pickup. It’s also one of the few serious off-road capable trucks on the market. Here are a few reasons to choose the Tundra.

Top Off-Road Performance: The 2015 Tundra stands as a seriously capable truck. This being said, no matter what trim you choose, it will handle whatever is thrown at it. If you want the most rugged trim in terms of capabilities off road, the Tundra’s TRD-Pro trim is the ultimate choice. It features everything from skid plates and off-road tires, to Bilstein shocks and a raised suspension.

The TRD Pro, along with the Limited, Platinum, and 1794 trims, house a 5.7-liter V8 engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Whether it’s equipped with 2WD or 4WD is up to you. A tow package comes standard on Tundra’s with the 5.7-liter V8, and when properly equipped can tow between 9,800 and 10,500 pounds.

If the 5.7-liter provides more power and towing capacity than necessary for you, there is also a 4.6-liter V8 under the hood of SR and SR5 models. Just like the 5.7, the 4.6 is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with the choice of 2WD or 4WD. When properly equipped maximum towing capacity for this powertrain is between 6,400 and 6,800 pounds.

Livable Interior: The 2015 Tundra boasts an interior that is so functional you could potentially live in it. Seats are large and comfortable, legroom is abundant, and all equipment is user-friendly. All models equipped with Toyota’s Entune touchscreen interface and Bluetooth connectivity. Up for grabs is a smartphone services system that boasts real-time traffic, Bing search engine, Pandora streaming radio, and even sports and stock information.

Safety in Gear and Scores: On road or off, safety is important for wherever life takes you. The 2015 Tundra provides excellent safety equipment and crash test scores that prove its dependability in real life situations. All models are equipped with antilock brakes, stability and traction control, trailer sway control, front knee airbags, front side-impact airbags, and side curtain airbags, plus a rearview camera. Depending on trim level, the Tundra has the option of a few extra safety features, such as parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts.

The Tundra’s durability was definitely proven based on its scores after going through vigorous crash testing. It earned top scores in areas, such as side-impact and roof-strength protection, and seat and head restraint design for whiplash protection in rear impacts.

Toyota Corolla

The 2015 Toyota Corolla marks the most appealing model to date, bringing it a big step forward in the market. With its sensible blend of fuel economy, versatility, features, and value, it makes a smart choice for a compact sedan.

One of the top highlights of the 2015 Corolla is its newly-improved interior that’s stylish and accented with sporty flourishes that definitely boost its allure. Seat is adequate in comfort, as well as looks, and you can’t beat the generous rear legroom that measures larger than most small sedans in its class. Rear seats are also flat all the way across, so passengers in the middle don’t have to suffer from the well-known ôhump found in many cars.

Just as previous models of the Corolla, the 2015 continues to maintain its focus on ease of use. This is particularly displayed in its tech content. Standard on most trim levels, you’ll find a 6.1-inch touchscreen interface that features large, virtual buttons and simple, clear graphics; it also responds quickly to user inputs, which is more than can be said about a lot of the touchscreen systems out there. The Corolla also comes with an available Entune App Suite that integrates smartphone connected services, real-time traffic, and more.

There are many trim levels to choose from off the Corolla’s 2015 lineup. Here’s a closer look at the most attention worthy.

Sometimes a car’s base-level trim can be a little too blah. Other times, it can be just enough. The Corolla’s base L trim definitely fills the ôjust enough category. It rides on 15-inch wheels and comes with LED headlights and running lights, powered accessories, tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and height-adjustable driver seat (another pro for legroom). Electronics are basic, but very acceptable with a content list that includes Bluetooth phone connectivity and four-speaker sound system with CD player, SUB/iPod interface, and auxiliary audio jack.

While not the top trims, the group of LE trims offer enough equipment and features to suit most. The LE gets content like heated mirrors, keyless entry, and rearview camera. It also gain an upgraded six-speaker sound system with six-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth audio connectivity, phonebook downloading capability, and voice controls.

The LE Plus gains more attractive features like piano-black interior accents. Another perk is the available Driver Convenience package that equips the Corolla with technology add-ons, such as satellite and HD radio, navigation system, and Entune App Suite mobile-app integration.

The LE Eco includes features of the LE, but is designed for those seeking better fuel economy. It adds an efficiency-maximizing engine and transmission tuning, low-rolling-resistance tires, rear spoiler, and enhanced aerodynamics.

Moving along to the S trims, you’ll find sport-themed styling and content added to LE features. The S trim sports everything from unique wheel covers and chrome rille frame to fog lights and chrome exhaust tips. The S Plus and S Premium add even more sports appeal with firmer suspension tuning and larger wheels. All S trims also feature a sports driving mode, sport instrumentation, and trip computer.

2015_Toyota_Avalon

Toyota Avalon

The Avalon is Toyota’s full-size sedan that offers luxury appeal in all areas. The 2015 Avalon continues to shine with its excellent combination of style, comfort, overall quality, and willing performance. If you’re in the market for a full-size sedan, the 2015 Avalon is a smart choice.

The Avalon’s 2015 lineup offers five trim levels to choose from - each awarding in their own way.

The XLE stands as the Avalon’s base-level trim and while it definitely includes basic content, it also features a lot of upscale niceties as well. Found on the XLE is 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, full power accessories, cruise control, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and keyless ignition and entry. Both front seats have power adjustability, which aids in passenger comfort and ease of use. Electronics are above average for an entry-level trim, too, with a rearview camera, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, 6.1-inch central touchscreen display, and eight-speaker audio system with CD player, satellite and HD radio, auxiliary audio jack, and USB/iPod interface.

Somewhere in the middle of the lineup you’ll find the XLE Touring trim, which adds lots of perks to the Avalon. It includes fog lights, driver memory settings, and 18-inch wheels. It also gets safety features, too, like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Electronics get a major boost with Toyota’s Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite that features a nine-speaker audio system, seven-inch touchscreen display, navigation system, and smartphone app integration.

It may seem hard to get a trim that offers even more content, but Toyota makes it happen with the Avalon’s top Limited trim. It comes with xenon headlights, auto-dimming side mirrors, automatic wipers, ambient cabin lighting, tri-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. It also features enhanced leather upholstery. The sound system sees an upgrade with 11 speakers.

Adding to the Avalon’s luxury appeal is its interior that fashions high-quality materials and an overall elegant vibe. Comfort is excellent for passengers with great seating that provides adequate support, including lumbar. Passenger space and storage is also abundant. You’ll find plenty of storage cubbies and even a large center console. The center console also acts as an ôeBin, which allows power cords to pass through a sliding panel for two cell phones and auxiliary and USB connections. This area can also be used to access Toyota’s Qi wireless charging system.
