Toyota RAV4 SUV

The Toyota RAV4. It's spacious, attractive, and fun to drive. But, did you know it also comes in a hybrid? If you want an SUV that's full of great perks, but also provides amazing fuel efficiency that can only be had in a hybrid, the 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is the optimal choice. Here are some reasons to opt for this hybrid SUV.

Savings. Sure, hybrid vehicles can cost a bit more at the time of purchase, but have you considered the amount you'll save on gasoline? Hybrids can get upward of 400 miles between fill-ups, which means you save time at the pump, along with hundreds of dollars in gas per year.

Environmentally Friendly. We only get one Earth, so why not try to save it? Aside from electric cars, hybrids emit lower levels of greenhouse gases and other foul pollutants into the atmosphere. By opting for a hybrid like the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid, you can help reduce air emissions of smog-forming pollutants by up to 90%! You can also cut carbon dioxide emissions in half. For an Earth that will thrive instead of crumble, hybrids are an excellent way to help this happen.

Travel Efficiency. Due to hybrid powertrains, these vehicles offer efficiency wherever you take them. While earlier hybrids were known for performing best in the stop-and-go traffic of cities, hybrids no longer offer any limitations because they now have more efficient batteries.

Depreciation. Another top perk of hybrid vehicles is that they have a much lower depreciation rate than regular vehicles. While regular vehicles lose up to 40% of their value during their first year, hybrids don't have this problem. Hybrids offer longer warranties, still drive like new at upward of 250,000 miles, and they will also continue to be in demand – all reasons why hybrids make a great investment.

Appeal. Beyond the appeal hybrids offer with their friendliness toward the environment and so on, they also offer just as many sought-after qualities as regular cars. For instance, the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid comes with excellent features like heated front seats, seven-inch touchscreen with navigation, keyless entry and ignition, plus many safety technology features, such as: adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alerts.

Toyota Sienna

You've got a fairly large family. So you made the smart move and opted for a family-friendly minivan like the 2016 Toyota Sienna. It comes with all of the seats you require to tote around a large crew, plus has a vast amount of comfort, cargo space and high-tech features and safety systems. But, now that you own a minivan that includes so many perks, it's time to fill it will emergency essentials of your own. Here's are some of the top, must-have items you should keep in your minivan at all times.

Empty Fuel Container/Funnel. Making sure your car has gas probably seems like the simplest task there is when driving a car. But sometimes that gas gauge simply drops to E before we can roll up to the gas pump. This is why keeping an empty gas container and funnel in your minivan is just a good idea. If you ever find yourself without gas, you'll be very glad you planned ahead.

Jumper Cables. Have a dead battery or see someone else who does? Good thing you keep jumper cables in your car! These handy cables are by far one of the most useful things you can keep in your vehicle at all times.

Flashlight. Need to change a flat tire at night? Chances are you're going to require some light. This being said, always keep a flashlight and extra batteries in your minivan just in case.

Bottled Water and Snacks. If you get stuck – in traffic or waiting on a tow truck – you want to be sure you and your gang have a few things in our car for sustenance. Bottled water and snacks like dried fruit and nuts are your best bet.

First Aid Kit. Your minivan can provide all of the high-tech safety systems available, but if an accident does occur, these systems don't have the means to spray you with antiseptic and apply a bandage. Keeping a first aid kit in your vehicle can be vital in helping someone injured in an accident.

Map. Think the age of paper maps are dead? Well, what if you're lost and your phone is dead? Cell phones and other forms of technology may not work when you need them most, so never rely solely on technology and always have an old-school map with you just in case.

Blankets. Blankets are one of those items that you probably feel toting around daily is a waste of space. However, weather – and life – are unpredictable, so playing it safe is always the best bet.

Old Cell Phone, Turned Off, and Fully Charged. Just as a paper map may seem useless, when emergency strikes, you'll think otherwise. In case you forget your current cell phone's charger or your vehicle is dead and you're unable to charge your phone, you'll be glad you kept your old cell around. Old cell phones can still be powered on to call 911 or 999, which means they can come to your rescue if the time comes.
